This really happened to me. Best part was that the woman tried to claim that she knew the boss really well, and that me and my coworker were going to be in trouble once my boss found out she was there and we refused to get her seen that day. My boss had no idea who she was.
The woman was the last person to get into a room and got charged a walk-in fee and a scheduling fee (or as we like to call it, a stupid fee).
I work in a social history museum. On more than one occasion, I have had to ask a fully grown adult not to play with our internal phone line, and they have claimed they thought the phone was part of the exhibition, despite it being in the corner of the room, with nothing to signify it might be a museum exhibit… oh, and LOOKING LIKE AN ACTUAL PHONE.
